This week is Health Awareness Week-There will be statistics and information listed each day on different health issues and warnings that we should all know when it comes to taking care of ourselves. •Every 34 seconds a person in the United States dies from a heart attack. •More than 2,500 Americans die from heart disease each day. •Every 20 seconds, a person in the United States has a heart attack. •At least 250,000 people die each year of a heart attack before they reach a hospital. *EAT HEALTHY, EXERCISE, AND CUT OUT STRESS!!* BLOOD DRIVE takes place this Friday, February 12th. Please sign up for an appointment as soon as possible with Mrs. Murillo! You MUST have a permission form if you are 16 years of age. Donating is not available for anyone under 16 years old. Thank you for SAVING A LIFE! ATTENTION SC LADIES: You may wear a pink or red t-shirt, blouse or sweater with LONG blue denim jeans ONLY on Friday, February 12th (NO shorts, skirts, or sweats allowed). It will be fun to celebrate Valentine’s Day! REMEMBER ladies ONLY! IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: All BOYS have lost Spirit Dress until Further notice –Due to trash and damage in the restrooms. There will not be spirit dress until trash improves in the restroom. If you see a student (s) trashing, damaging restrooms, report it immediately to Mr. Guzman. This will begin the week of February 8th. *NO Spirit Dress for BOYS ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 12TH!!* ATTENTION STUDENTS: Anyone interested in helping to decorate a flat bed float or participate in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade taking place in Ventura on Saturday, March 13th please see Mrs. Murillo to sign up. It will be lots of fun and your help is appreciated. Thank you! CLUBS: ASB will meet TODAY in the Small Bingo Hall at lunch. This is in the SMALL hall NOT the Large Bingo Hall-It is a closed meeting.
